What would be a good idea for a birthday cake for 10 year old?
November 25th, 2009 at 17:05We will be going camping,so I have to either transport it or make it there.Cabin, not tent!Any marshmallow cakes out there?
This is for a girl who loves to camp, hike, loves little creatures, etc.
Woops , she will be turning 11..that does make a difference, just ask an 11 year old….
I would have someone else make it & then go pick it up. Being she loves the outdoors maybe you could do a Snow White theme. Because Snow White travels through the woods. Maybe you could have her sitting on the fallen log & all the forest animals are surrounding her. It’d be very cute!

I saw a cute cake in Family Circus magazine. It had blue jello on top (cut the cake top hollow about 1 inch on one side in a pond shape) and then white frosting around, with green coconut (shake coconut in jar with a few drops food coloring) to make pond edge. Then those graham cracker bears around and goldfish crackers and some fruit roll-ups trimmed to look like seaweed. It was a fun cake.

we do a lot of bike road trips and my kids like angel food cake toasted over the fire, then you have a topping "bar" like have frosting availiable, whipped cream, friut, coconut, nuts, whatever else your kids like. it is easy and you can buy several angel food cakes premade in transportable containers from your grocery.

Individually frosted cupcakes. They’re easy to pack and store, just like cake, and can be decorated like a cake with candles.
